Andersen may or may not have made a difference for the Hurricanes during the playoffs, but his inability to play forced the 'Canes to rely on Antti Raanta, who isn't a starter in my opinion
Today, Fred revealed that he has been out since April 16 with a torn MCL.
He allowed seven goals in that game vs the Avs.
Said that he was very close to returning, which adds to the bitterness of the #Canes being eliminated when they were.

Andersen felt so close to returning after six weeks of battling. The Canes thought they had it easy with the Rangers.
Little do they know that Igor Shesterkin is the new Henrik Lundqvist.
