Veleno of the Red Wings was called up from the minors to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday because Tyler Bertuzzi wasn't vaccinated. Veleno hopped in the car with Detroit GM Steve Yzerman.
Called up in the morning, road trip with Steve Yzerman during the day, and a trip to the scoresheet in the evening.
Pretty solid Saturday for Joe Veleno.
