The quality of officiating was apparently questioned at this year's GM meeting in Florida, but Bettman made no comments and sent threats to the GMs.
Heard the NHL's consistently horrible officiating and egregiously missed calls were a «hot topic» at Day 1 of the NHL GM's meeting today. The NHL kicked off the discussion by reminding GM's that anyone who publicly criticizes the officiating will be severely fined. #GarysWorld
Gary Bettman is clearly upset because of the viral video of Kyle Dubas mocking the refs.
Maybe it's something the league should take a look at.
