With training camp starting in the next few weeks, the wait will finally be over for Habs fans, who can't wait to see their favorite team in action.
In addition to the return of the NHL, there is one hot topic that has many people intrigued and that is the next Habs captain. Indeed, we know since the arrival of Kent Hughes as general manager that there will be a captain named before the start of the 2022-23 season.
Although Nick Suzuki is gaining momentum and spent his summer in Montreal, or Joel Edmundson is like a big brother to everyone, Georges Laraque has another candidate in mind:
« The Habs will have no choice but to give Gallagher the "C". In the room, he is the heart and soul of the team. Although he has slowed down, he still gives his all on the ice. He's the one who went to the front of the line in front of the media when the team wasn't doing well. He was the one who was on the front lines once again after the Guy Lafleur ceremony. He wants the 'C' and if he wants it, they have no choice but to give it to him." - Georges Laraque
