Discussions between the Pittsburgh Penguins and forward Evgeni Malkin are at a standstill.

Still without a contract for next season, the Russian had a great campaign with 42 points, including 20 goals in 41 games.

Malkin has mentioned that he wants to stay in Pittsburgh, but Lyle Fitzsimmons of bleacherreport.com has listed five other teams that could sign the center, this summer.

Here's the list:

1- New Jersey Devils

The Devils have Hischier, Hughes as 1C and 2C. Adding Malkin would be huge for them, they would become very deep and this will drop Hughes to easier match ups.

2- New York Islanders

For the Islanders they are in desperate need for a second line center and Malkin would be a great addition for them.

3- Boston Bruins

The Bruins are losing their captain Patrice Bergeron, adding Evgeni Malkin would be a huge bonus for them! Imagine a Pasta - Malkin - Marchand line... Best line in the league for sure.

4- Anaheim Ducks

Losing Ryan Getzlaf to retirement is a big loss for the Ducks. Adding Malkin is a temporary replacement for the future hall of famer.

5- Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs should really consider trading John Tavares for Evgeni Malkin. The Leafs captain is 11M$ that is a lot of money and Malking will sign for around 7-8M$ they would save money and get the same kind of player.
