Hockey Canada Delivers Official Ruling on the Status of the 2018 World Junior Team Following In-Depth Review and Consideration

Hockey Canada has been investigating the 2018 World Junior team for quite some time now, and finally, it appears as though they have made a ruling.

Hockey Canada decides on sanctions for those involved with the 2018 World Juniors scandal

After a long investigation, a panel made up of three people has made a decision involving the 2018 World Juniors team, but as of right now, the report is not available, as the decision is being officially appealed.

New: Hockey Canada says a three-member panel has reached a decision on sanctions regarding allegations involving members of the 2018 World Juniors team.
The panel was provided with Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP's investigative findings.
The panel's decision is now being appealed. (Hockey Canada declined to say who is hearing the appeal.)
Hockey Canada says it consulted with London, Ont., police to ensure announcing the development would not affect their criminal investigation.

TSN's Chris Johnston has also revealed that all members of the team remain suspended by Hockey Canada as the appeal begins.

Hockey Canada says the results of an adjudicative panel tasked with "determining whether certain members of the 2018 National Junior Team breached Hockey Canada's code of conduct" are under appeal.

All players from the 2018 World Junior team remain suspended by Hockey Canada.

While we draw closer to those sanctions becoming public, the Hockey Canada appeals process will begin soon, and with no word on how long that will take, it appears we are still a while away from the details being released.
