According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Carolina Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell and head coach Rob Brind'amour have said that forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi will be promoted next season and will have more responsibility, as well as more playing time.
Clearly, with this statement, it feels like the end for center Vincent Trocheck with the Canes.
The former Canadian signed an 8 year contract at 4.82 million per season in Carolina.
Unfortunately, he was not very impressive in the playoffs, with only two assists in 14 games. During the regular season, he scored 29 points in 66 games.
