Raanta would finally exit the game after a few more minutes of play and saves, troubling time for the Hurricanes considering their present goaltender situation.
Earlier this week, the Hurricanes lost starting goaltender Frederik Andersen to injury. Like Raanta today, Andersen was hurt on a non-contact play when he fell awkwardly and appeared to tweak his leg or knee.
