The entire NHL has been patiently waiting for Patrick Kane to pick his next team. The rumors surrounding him have been relentless but today we learned that they carried at least a little truth.
NHL Insider Reveals What Kane's Preferred Destination Was
Today NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that Kane was hoping to sign with the Dallas Stars. Notably, Dallas was one of the teams that was linked to Kane early on in the process. However, the team has not been as involved in rumors lately and it seems that that might be the case because the team is no longer particularly interested in adding the 35-year-old winger.
Kane To Announce Next Team Early Next Week
This is starting to become a boy who cried wolf story as we heard the same exact thing last week. However, it is once again being reported that Kane's decision will become public early next week. Reportedly, the Florida Panthers and the Detroit Red Wings are the two favorites. The two teams may very well be in an active bidding war for the 35-year-old winger's services.
We will wait in anticipation for more news on the Kane front. At this point it seems like Detroit might be the front runners, but that is not certain at all.
