Since the departure of Phillip Danault, we've been hearing all kinds of rumours about the centre players that Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin would try to find left and right. However, there is one player in the organization who feels he is ready to replace Danault.
Indeed, that centre is Jake Evans. He already has good defensive playmaking ability and is the obvious choice to replace the Tricolore's former number 24.
In an interview on the Habs Tonight podcast hosted by Dale Weise and Brandon Legacy, Evans mentioned that he wanted to take on a bigger role in the team.
