According to New York journalist Arthur Staple (The Athletic), the Rangers would be interested in trading two of their young players, Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko.
«The Rangers are willing to part with Filip Chytil, to acquire a more experienced top-6 center. Kaapo Kakko is also involved in (trade) discussions." Wow!
Both players were drafted by Jeff Gorton, who is the Executive Vice President of the Montreal Canadiens AND Nick Bobrov, who is now the CH's Co-Director of Recruiting.
Let's just say it would be the perfect fit to bring the two young forwards back to the two field hockey men of the Habs.
In 157 NHL games, Kakko, 21, collected a total of 58 points. Remember that he was drafted second overall in 2019.
As for Chytil, 22 years old, he has accumulated 93 points in 253 games in the NHL.
File to follow.
