The phone has been ringing nonstop for Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams, with the main reason being trade interest in Jack Eichel. According to sources from The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, discussions are heating up right now, and aggressive offers are being explored.

The phone has been ringing nonstop for Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams, with the main reason being trade interest in Jack Eichel. According to sources from The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, discussions are heating up right now, and aggressive offers are being explored.

While the Kings aren't interested, according to Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers have been for over a year. The Ducks are the wild card team in this game. Eichel is seen as the ideal substitute for Ryan Getzlaf's first-line minutes, according to them. I'll be interested to see if they opt to include one of the top prospects in order to close the deal.

The Sabres' management has a lot of work to do this summer, and it's a critical time for the team. Buffalo won't remain irrelevant for long if Adams can complete the three major transactions he's anticipated to make this offseason, which include Eichel and teammates Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen. It won't be long before Eichel's mailing address changes.
