Maple Leafs in talks with John Tavares' best friend

The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially been connected to Sam Gagner. Per, Pierre Lebrun.
The Oilers were recently connected to Gagner as well, who's 1 year, $850,000 deal with Red Wings expired as the 2021-22 season concluded. Gagner is currently a pending unrestricted free agent.
John Tavares and Sam Gagner are childhood friends maybe they can be reunited once again.
