The former general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Marc Bergevin, delivered a touching testimony to Guy Lafleur and his family.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Guy Lafleur this morning. He was and will always be a great ambassador of our national sport and of our Quebec identity. I remember him as a man of honesty, integrity and loyalty to his convictions.
My deepest sympathies to the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club and to the Lafleur family.
