The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final on Monday night, but fans will never know whether Pat Maroon or Josh Anderson would have won a fight.
On the other hand, NBC Sports' on-ice expert Pierre McGuire predicted on Tuesday that a brawl between Maroon and Anderson will most certainly erupt before the Stanley Cup is hoisted.
During a discussion on TSN690, McGuire stated that Josh Anderson and Pat Maroon will fight at some time, and that Maroon will force him to fight.
In Game 1, Maroon had gotten under Anderson's skin, but the Habs' forward was in command and did not allow the seasoned pest to get to him.
However, given Maroon's speed in pursuing the fast forward, we may witness a clash in the following days. We can't image this ending well after the two players were caught chipping and chirping at each other during the opening contest of the final.
On Monday night, the two players pushed and shoved each other, but no one dropped the gloves.
