Patrice Bergeron Speaks Out on the Signing of Mitchell Miller
Patrice Bergeron has made his opinion on the signing of Mitchell Miller clear.
Since being drafted by the Bruins in 2003, he has become their captain, following the departure of Zdeno Chara.
He holds the Bruins to a high standard, a standard that was broken by the signing of Mitchell Miller.
Miller has been convicted of an act of racism and ableism, bullying a 14-year-old black disabled student when he was in the eighth grade.
Bergeron did not hold back in showing his displeasure.
It goes against a little bit of what we are as a culture and as a team and for me as a person,"
I've been told lately that he's working hard to make some changes
To hopefully make those bad decisions in the past... to help others not do that.
It will be interesting to see if this signing's value ever becomes worth it due to the negative media attention.
