Player agent Allan Walsh is not a fan of NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
As my colleague at Marqueur.com reports, a report came out just recently in the U.S. on national media revenues. Of course, the NFL makes a lot of pesos from its TV contract, $10 billion PER YEAR.
As for the NHL, it ranks sixth. This is unacceptable for a major sport like hockey.
Here is Walsh's reaction:
"And Gary keeps patting himself on the back for the ABC / ESPN deal. The previous 10-year deal with NBC / NBC Sports was a disaster that left a billion on the table." - Allan Walsh
This could hurt the NHL in the long run...
