According to Chip Alexander, a reporter assigned to cover the Carolina Hurricanes, former Montreal Canadiens forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi would be on the team's second line with Martin Necas and Andrei Svechnikov to start training camp.
With several departures this summer on the Hurricanes side, this is a golden opportunity for KK to fill Vincent Trocheck's shoes in his own way.
Kotkaniemi agreed to an eight-year extension last March, worth $4.820 million per year.
