LeBrun said he spoke with Calgary's GM Brad Treliving, who said he was seeking for supplementary scoring. On last night's Insider Trading on TSN, LeBrun said:

«He's looking for secondary scoring right now, maybe a trade market dip. He now believes that some of the secondary scoring might come from within. He said Blake Coleman was starting to come on offensively before the break, but if a trade comes, that's definitely where they'll look.

LeBrun also suggested two potential Canadian teams the Flames could target for offensive help:

For the forward market, I think he's got obvious trade partners in the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators. In general, it seems like a lot of the major playoff contenders are looking at defense, which might give the Flames an edge in the forward market.

Many Montreal players will be traded before the March 21st deadline. Though new GM Kent Hughes may be trying to retool rather than rebuild.

In Ottawa, there is talk of a trade. Last week, GM Pierre Dorion told Post Media that the Senators want to make «hockey trades» at the deadline, meaning they want to locate a player who fits the bill and can help them start next season stronger.
