The Boston Bruins will be extremely injured to start next season.
Brad Marchand will be unavailable for an extended period of time, since he will be rehabilitating for six months.
Things aren't looking good for them, as they've just discovered that three of their regular defenseman, Charlie McAvoy, Matt Grzelcyk, and Mike Reilly, will be out for an extended period of time.
With all these injuries, I have no choice but to ask myself a certain question.
Would Jeff Petry be of interest to the Boston Bruins?
The veteran defenseman will likely be traded to the U.S. over the summer. I see an obvious parallel, despite the rivalry that has existed between the two teams for ages.
It would be very surprising to see a trade between the two teams, unless Boston makes the offer of the century to Kent Hughes.
