The steal of the Avalanche scores his first goal

This week, the Colorado Avalanche agreed to terms on an entry-level contract with Ben Meyers, the best available free agent player from the NCAA.
Never drafted, Meyers had an outstanding season with the University of Minnesota. In 34 games, the 23-year-old forward had 41 points.
He also participated in the Olympics for the United States in Beijing. He had four points in four games.
Joe Sakic hit quite a home run in acquiring the young man and the latter has once again shown that he is ready to go to the next level.
