Three players who should leave the Canadiens this summer
With the deadline passed and the Habs eliminated from the playoffs, we are already looking ahead. First, the draft and then, the opening of the free agent market.
What will Kent Hughes do this summer? The blogger Marc-Olivier Beaudoin in his column on the site DansLesCoulisses believes that three players will leave.
"As for management's plan, I think they will try to sign a few but if and only if they manage to trade some of their slightly older players. We already know that Jeff Petry and his 6,250,000$ for 3 more seasons might leave, so I wouldn't have a problem with the CH giving a contract to Kristopher Letang if that happens. Joel Armia will probably leave this summer as well, same thing for Mike Hoffman and if Carey Price is able to come back to the game, I think they will happily store Jake Allen. If the GM is able to release some of these contracts, then yes, they will probably sign a few free agents!"
