It looks like the Toronto Maple Leafs want to go all in this season to go for the Stanley cup. Sources say that Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas is looking at bringing Philadelphia Flyers Captain Claude Giroux to the Buds.
This comes after Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Philadelphia Flyers and Claude Giroux's contract extension didn't pan out, and the Fyers GM Cliff Fletcher will be looking at trade offers ahead of the NHL's Trade deadline.
If Kyle Dubas could pull off this trade, it would be huge for Leafs with players like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and William Nylander, this would give Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe another weapon for the playoffs.
Claude Giroux is 34, Giroux has 15 goals, 19 assists in 40 games with the Flyers this season. Claude Giroux is a pending UFA at the end of the season, he was drafted 22nd overall by the Flyers in 2006 and has played in 983 games with the Flyers.
