Following yesterday's physical testing day, today is the real start of the Montreal Canadiens training camp. Let's hope the players aren't too rusty, because it starts with speed and conditioning.
Of the 74 players invited, many will just be passing through. However, there was one player on the ice this morning that did not go unnoticed.
Logan Mailloux was there with his teammates wearing a non-contact jersey. It is great news that the first pick in 2021 can practice with the team. There was a lot of concern with his absence from the Rookie Tournament last week, but he is really getting closer to a return to action.
Who knows, maybe he'll get the green light from the doctors and we'll get a chance to see him in action in a warm-up game! One thing is for sure, it bodes well for his OHL season.
