The Boston Bruins have revealed the status of captain Brad Marchand ahead of game four of their Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Florida Panthers.

Marchand missed the remainder of game three after Sam Bennett attacked him with a sucker punch during the play.

The Bruins would mention the next day that captain Marchand is day-to-day with an injury. Fans suspected it may be concussion-related.

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery also noted his displeasure with Bennett's dirty play. Boston will likely be playing more out for blood in game four.

NHL insider and host of the Rich Keefe Show and Dork Podcast later tweeted that Brad Marchand would miss at least games four and five as he is in concussion protocol.

The Boston Bruins officially announced Brad Marchand's status for Game 4.

Marchand is a significant piece of the Bruins roster, if he were to miss extended time, the team would feel it. Regardless of his on-ice presence for game four, having Marchand near the team will energize them and provide them some hope heading into game four at TD Garden.

The Bruins look to even the series and win game four as they welcome the Florida Panthers back to TD Garden for game four. Florida currently leads Boston two games to one.
