The Washington Capitals have completed a trade with the Montreal Canadiens.
Veteran Defenseman Headed To Washington
The trade involves sending veteran defenseman Joel Edmundson to Washington in exchange for a 3rd and 7th round draft pick.
The Canadiens are going to be retaining 50% of Edmundson's salary , which will create a new cap hit of $1.875M.
