BREAKING: Phil Kessel to miss first game since 2009
After missing the playoffs for the first in franchise history last season, the Vegas Golden Knights are heading into battle with the Winnipeg Jets looking to finish them off.
The Golden Knights have a 3-1 series lead so things are looking good, but history will be made tonight as for the NHL's resident Iron man won't Phil Kessel won't play tonight.
Phil The Thrill Not In The Lineup!
This was revealed by Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman who shared Kessel didn't take part in the lineups. This will be the first game since October 31st 2009 Kessel has missed a game.
Kessel's 1000+ game iron man streak is one of the greatest feats in sports history, and it may never be broken. Luckily, he will be able to continue it back in the regular season if he is dressed.
