The Pittsburgh Penguins have been one of the most successful teams of the 21st century, and while Sidney Crosby takes most of the attention for that, he's had the perfect partner through it all.
An unheralded star
Evgeni Malkin was drafted by the Penguins with the second overall pick back in the 2004 NHL Draft, and since that point, he's been nothing but spectacular for Pittsburgh.
In 1,063 games, Malkin has tallied 471 goals and 1,229 points, picking up a Hart Trophy back in the 2011-12 season, as well as helping the team to three Stanley Cup Championships.
Not done yet
Now, after some recent acquisitions, things appear to be turning once more in Pittsburgh, and in a recent interview, the 37-year old star has revealed just how long he's going to remain in Pittsburgh.
Three more years, I hope. - Malkin on his Penguins future.
After tallying 27 goals and 83 points in 82 games a season ago, it's clear that he's still ready to go at a very high level, and if he remains healthy, Pittsburgh appear to be in the hunt for a Stanley Cup until he and Crosby move on.
