Fabbri was a first round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2014 NHL Entry Draft, 21st overall. Fabbri became a Stanley Cup championship in 2019 as a member of the Blues. Fabbri spent four seasons in St. Louis before being later next season in the same year to Detroit, playing five seasons with the Red Wings in that time.
Fabbri had 18 goals, 14 assists & 32 points in 68 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season.
Alexander, 21, played last season in the ECHL for the Tulsa Oilers. In 19 games for Tulsa, Alexander had a 5-8-2 record with a 3.76GAA and a 887SV%. The 6'6 netminder was a fifth round pick of the Anaheim Ducks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, selected 148th overall.
The move comes with the recent free agent acquisition from Detroit in Vladimir Tarasenko, a fellow member of the 2019 Blues cup team and recent repeat champion with the Florida Panthers, who signed a two-year deal earlier today with the Red Wings.
