The NHL is full of depth right now, and surprisingly, this has led to a former Stanley Cup Champion Zach Sanford being placed on waivers.
While he was never the star of the St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup run, Zach Sanford played a key role in the win, registering four points in 8 games during that playoff stretch.
Now, he has shockingly been waived by the Arizona Coyotes after playing just 11 games for the team this season.
Per source, the Coyotes have placed F Zach Sanford on waivers.
In those 11 games, Sanford has registered two assists, four hits and eight blocks, and while he's expected to clear waivers and head back to Tucson in the AHL, there's a chance the 29-year old may be claimed.
