After a record setting regular season and a disappointing playoff run the Boston Bruins have an interesting questioned filled off season ahead of the questions surrounding their captain.
Patrice Bergeron's future
After the NHL announced that the salary cap was only increasing by a $1 million the Bruins find themselves in a cap crunch.
To top things off according to multiple reports it now appears the team is now preparing to lose their top 2 centers to retirement.
Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci are currently deciding on their futures and all reports say they are both leaning to retiring.
Bruins cap crunch
The Bruins currently have less than $5 million dollars of cap space with only 15 players on the roster making it difficult for the team to come back stronger next year.
With notable free agents like Tyler Bertuzzi and Dmitri Orlov needing new deals it looks like the Bruins will be taking a step back.
The Bruins are actively looking to free up space to try and work within the cap but it does not seem likely.
As seen on Blade Of Steel Boston Bruins expected to make major announcement in the very near future
