The Buffalo Sabres came into 2023-24 with plenty of optimism following a fantastic season a year ago from one of their biggest stars, but now, he's left the ice with a potentially serious injury.
During the Sabres matchup with the Boston Bruins, forward Tage Thompson went down with an injury, leaving the ice after what could have been a devastating leg injury.
A look at the play Tage Thompson got injured on. Went straight to the locker room. Not good.
Unfortunately, the Sabres have now update the situation, revealing that he's questionable to return with a leg injury.
Injury update: Forward Tage Thompson is questionable to return (lower body).
We will provide further updates as they come through, but right now, it doesn't look good for the Sabres, and they'll be hoping it's just a minor injury.
Tage Thompson had difficulty getting back to his skates and had to be helped by Jeff Skinner to the bench. Was favoring his left leg. #Sabres
