After months of waiting, the hype in Chicago is incredible, as is the pressure on Bedard's shoulders.
In addition to his own expectations, the fans in Chicago have added another layer of anticipation.
Yesterday, the Hawks won a game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Bedard scored three points, including a goal into an empty net.
It didn't take much to excite the fans in Chicago, who haven't forgotten the taste of victory despite six seasons of struggles.

Bedard's arrival is clearly a game-changer for the Blackhawks. They now have the potential to cause a real surprise in the league. Fans know it, and they love it.
