Another Person In The Hockey Community Gone Too Soon
Yesterday the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League announced some sad news. Their former goaltending coach Sean Murray has passed away.
The Vancouver Giants are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former goaltending coach Sean Murray, who won a Memorial Cup with us in 2007.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Sean's family and friends during this difficult time.
RIP Sean.
Murray had multiple stints as a goalie coach with the Giants over the last decade. After his passing was announced one of the biggest talents from the WHL in recent years provided a heartfelt response.
Bedard Gives Emotional Tribute
After the Giants announced the passing of Sean Murray former Regina Pats star and current Chicago Blackhawk Connor Bedard responded with a tribute to Murray.
While Bedard and Murray likely have limited interactions if any since their timelines did not match the gesture is still heartwarming. Bedard competed against the Vancouver Giants for several years and probably has a good relationship with several people affected by this news.
Our thoughts will continue to be with Sean Murray's family, friends, and all those affected by this tragic loss.
