Insider Reveals Latest Development on Jonathan Toews' NHL Career
After trading Patrick Kane last season, Jonathan Toews remained the final member of the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup winning core, and now, one NHL insider has a massive update on his future.
A fantastic career coming to an end?
After moving Patrick Kane, many believed the same could be done for Toews, but with his injury issues, there was just no value there for the long-time captain at the trade deadline.
Now, a UFA, many believe that if the Blackhawks wanted to bring Toews back, he could return, but with the team looking to move in a different direction, it leaves him to make his own decision.
Three-time Cup winner
According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, there have been 'rumblings' that this summer he could officially announce his retirement, and while things could change quickly, it appears that is the way things are heading.
In 1,067 games with the Blackhawks, Toews racked up 372 goals and 883 points, while captaining the team to three Stanley Cup titles, so whether or not he's officially done, he will always go down as a Chicago hockey legend.
