The Detroit Red Wings made headlines when they collided in practice on Wednesday, but veteran Patrick Kane is keeping a level head around the situation.

Detroit Red Wings teammates collide at practice

On Wednesday, Ben Chiarot and Lucas Raymond came together in practice, having to be pulled apart by teammates following a frustrating six-game losing skid.

It's not known how the situation was handled behind the scenes after practice, but with so much emotion and frustration, it's easy to see how it boiled over on the ice.

Patrick Kane raises eyebrows with surprising comments

When asked about the situation on Thursday, veteran Patrick Kane, who has seen it all in the NHL had this to say;

"I don't think it's a bad thing. I'd be more worried if we were walking around here all smiles, happy and everything's okay. I think it's good to get a little frustrated as long as you harness it in the right way. Frustration can create a lot of positive energy as well, whether it's practicing like you play, or just playing harder tomorrow."

His comments may be surprising to some, but given the frustration of losing, it makes sense that the team would be on edge, and if handled correctly, it could be an incident that turns their bad luck around.

Now, the team turn their attention to the playoff race where they sit just behind the New York Islanders for the final Wild Card spot in the East, and with Kane playing well alongside the likes of Raymond, Larkin and DeBrincat, if they can channel their energy into something positive, they could go on a big run here soon.
