This evening the Edmonton Oilers have announced a major move in their front office as the team has decided to part ways with Assistant General Manager Brad Holland.
With the NHL season fast approaching NHL teams are starting to settle in as they come back together for training camp in the coming days. Today the Edmonton Oilers who have had an offseason full of change announced yet another move. Current CEO and President of Hockey Operations Jeff Jackson confirmed that the Oilers have parted ways with Assistant General Manager Brad Holland.
At the end of the day, this move does make sense after the Edmonton Oilers hired a new General ManagerStan Bowman this summer. Brad Holland was a member of the old regime under his father Ken Holland. Therefore following his father out of the organization was likely a move that needed to happen.
As of now, there are no reports on what is next for Brad Holland however his father being an icon in the hockey community along with Brad's resume will likely lead to another position in the hockey world shortly. As those updates are provided on Brad Holland's future we will pass them along to you.
