NHL player safety reportedly decides on Leon Draisaitl's suspension fate
Last night's Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals came with a controversial moment due to a hit from Leon Draisaitl on Aleksander Barkov and today Leon Draisaitl has learned his fate.
Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has been in the news for the last several hours due to a big hit he put on Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov. The hit took Aleksander Barkov out of the game and left many wondering if Leon Draisaitl would be suspended.
The league must suspend Leon Draisaitl for his elbow to the head of Aleksander Barkov.
Now reports have confirmed that Leon Draisaitl will not be suspended due to this hit. There is still possibility of other discipline but a suspension seems to be out of the question.
