There's a lot of debate and speculation going around about a possible suspension for Leon Draisaitl after his dirty hit on Aleksander Barkov last night in game two.

A few reports suggest that Barkov may have a broken jaw and could miss games in the Stanley Cup Finals because of Draisaitl's dangerous hit:

"Aleksander Barkov has a broken jaw. There are few injuries to the face that hockey players can't 'suck it up' from. Stitches or a broken nose, sure. Broken jaw, definitely not. #oilers #panthers #nhl"

Watch a video of the hit here:

On the play, Draisaitl got a two-minute penalty and remained in the game, but ended Barkov's night halfway through the third period.

Now, a lot of people are calling him out, and there's a general belief that he should face more consequences, especially if Barkov is forced to miss games:

"This has to be worth at least a game suspension for Draisaitl. That's some textbook intent to injure."

Now, all the pressure is on the NHL's Department of Player Safety. As we saw in the past playoff rounds, they don't hand out suspensions that easily. We'll know more about all this before game three; make sure to stay tuned as we deliver the latest updates.
