It looks like there's a suspension incoming for Vancouver Canucks' defenseman Carson Soucy for his cross check on Connor McDavid's face in last night's game.

If you missed it, an incident that occured after the final whistle of game 3 between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers caused a big stir in the hockey community.

Behind the Canucks' net, McDavid slashed Soucy, then chaos ensues. Nikita Zadorov came in from behind to cross check McDavid in the back, but at the same time, Soucy was already in motion to cross check McDavid. It ended with McDavid getting cross crocked in the face by Soucy.

Check out how it went down here:

"McJesus got ABUSED at the end of the game 😳"

This morning, the renowned insider Elliotte Friedman mentionned that the NHL's Department of Player Safety will make a decision about the incident.

Here's what he said:

"Sounds like there will be a hearing for Carson Soucy out of the end-of-game scrum in Edmonton last night"

Even if Zadorov and McDavid look like they're instigators, the NHL still decided to meet with Soucy, hightlighting the fact that the League protects its best players.
