The Los Angeles Kings have issued a statement regarding the team's leading goal-scorer Dustin Brown on Friday, confirming that he is done for the season due to injury.
After consultation with team medical staff, it has been determined that Dustin Brown will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury he sustained earlier in the year. Brown will continue to undergo treatment and rehabilitation.
Brown has suited up in 49 games for the Kings this season, amassing 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points over that span.
Brown's absence should provide ample opportunity to some of the team's younger players in a variety of situations, as Brown had been heavily relied upon by the club this season.
It is expected that Brown will be good to go for Kings training camp this fall.
