New reports have confirmed what many have speculated since Price stepped away from the Canadiens a couple of seasons ago.

This confirms the worst fears of many NHL fans. Carey Price's illustrious career now seems to be over. The Vezina and Hart Trophy winner was a mainstay of the Montreal Canadiens for a decade and a half.
In his time with the Canadiens, Price finishes his career with a 2.51 goals against average, a 0.917 save percentage, and 49 shutouts. Although Price has been gone from the game for a while not his status is still a sad realization.
It will be interesting to see how the Montreal Canadiens honor Carey Price in the coming years now that he has confirmed he is done playing.
