The Worst is Confirmed for Montreal's Arber Xhekaj
The Montreal Canadiens announced tragic news for fan-favourite Arber Xhekaj tonight. After being injured in a game, he will miss time.
Beloved Montreal Canadiens Enforcer Arber Xhekaj Placed on Injured Reserve
While we don't know exactly how long Xhekaj will be injured, being placed on injured reserve is a bad sign. The Canadiens, who called up defensemen Jayden Struble and Mattias Norlinder earlier this week, have also called up Joel Armia.
"The Canadiens have recalled forward Joel Armia from the Laval Rocket. He will join the team in Los Angeles on Friday. The team has also placed defenseman Arber Xhekaj on the injured list retroactively to his last game."
We will see when Xhekaj returns to play, and gets to keep building on his incredible underdog story.
