After it was revealed that Martin St-Louis was absent from the Canadiens bench due to something going on with his son, there has just been a promising update.

St-Louis Son Plays in ECHL Game Which is Promising Update For Worried Fans

It's always a sad story when players or coaches have to miss some time to deal with personal things, and it was especially worrying for Canadiens fans when it was revealed that Martin St-Louis was missing time due to personal reasons potentially related to his son, Lucas. While there were no details shared, a new update has given fans a sigh of relief.

St-Louis son Lucas played in his USHL Game Saturday night despite the news, giving fans a relief that everything was okay, at least regarding his health.

"Regarding Martin St-Louis: looks like his son Lucas played last night for Dubuque, hopefully it's a sign that whatever has happened to Mason or Ryan is not life-threatening." - HFTV

St-Louis Continues Leave Of Absence Indefinitely

The leave of absence for St. Louis was granted for an indefinite time period, so fans are not aware of when he will return to the Habs bench. The Canadiens currently sit well outside of a playoff spot, so his return is not necessarily urgent, as it is unlikely they will be playing come the postseason.

Our thoughts continue to be with St-Louis and his entire family during this time.
