After being forced to retire in 2021 due to the need for open-heart surgery, Henrik Lundqvist, the Rangers legend will once again be on the ice.
A major comeback
No, it's not full-time, but now, Lundqvist will officially return to the ice after being announced for the 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classic to take place later this year.
It's been two seasons since Lundqvist was forced to retire, but he's remained in the eyes of the hockey world since, joining TNT as an analyst, but now, we get to see him back at his very best once again.
The Rangers legend ended his career without a Stanley Cup, but remains a beloved figure in the NHL and in New York, and for those who never got to see him and those who watched him closely, this should be a treat for everyone.
