Report: Maple Leafs allegedly deep in trade talks
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been off to a solid start this year with some new pieces in their lineup, but it appears as though the team are still looking at major upgrades to this roster.
A top-six forward
While Tyler Bertuzzi and Max Domi have been solid in their role, neither have filled the top-six void left by Michael Bunting, and now, the Leafs are reportedly chasing a top-six forward to add to this group.
In his latest article, David Pagnotta noted that Brad Treliving has already been gauging the market for a potential forward to join this incredibly talented forward group.
Stanley Cup potential
With the core four doing their thing as usual and the addition of some young forwards, this team has more potential than ever to make a deep run to the Stanley Cup Finals, but if they can find a new name out there, it gives them an even better shot.
With names like Connor Garland, Elias Lindholm, Brock Boeser, Sean Monahan and so many others potentially being moved, if the Leafs can use their assets wisely, there's no doubting that they'll be incredibly tough to stop down the stretch.
