Jacob Trouba Steps Away From the Rangers Practice After Emotional Outburst Last Night
The New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba was missing from the team's practice earlier today after a 6-3 defeat against the Vancouver Canucks last night.
Worrying Comments From Trouba Following Loss to Canucks
After the game, Trouba seemed off after he was asked what went wrong in the game:
"Mentally, just not sharp enough to be good for 60 minutes."
This is a big statement coming from the team captain. Rangers fans certainly hope it doesn't reflect the general mood in the locker room.
However, today, he skipped practice for "personal reasons".
Trouba Not at Rangers Practice Today
The Rangers held a practice today and Trouba was nowhere to be found.
"At #NYR practice, Jacob Trouba is not here, for personal reasons, the Rangers say."
Despite the team's great season and sitting at the top position of the Metropolitan Division, Trouba doesn't seem happy.
An 82-game season is mentally hard on players. We hope that Trouba takes the time to refresh and returns to 100% soon.
It'll be interesting to monitor this situation ahead of the Rangers' next game on Thursday agains the St. Louis Blues.
Updates will follow.
