One of the former top players in the NHL in Patrick Kane is still a free agent however his future may have been leaked.
Kane Staying in NYC?
According to The Athletic's Arthur Staple, says that the Rangers could be the team to sign with if the Rangers struggle.
"In a best-case scenario, the Rangers don't need Kane they will have adopted Laviolette's system quickly, the pieces added in free agency will fall into place and all will be well by November.
Staple continued saying that Chris Drury will most likely be all in again at the deadline.
Things don't usually work like that, though. And if Chris Drury decides, as he did at the deadline this past season, that the lineup is crying out for Kane, he'll move mountains to get it done, even though moving mountains in March didn't really work out.
Patrick Kane
At the end of the day Patrick Kane would still have to choose the Rangers and his agent made it clear they are willing to wait for the right deal.
Kane is also working towards getting healthy as he is in rehabilitation over his hip surgery he got this summer. Making advancements in his rehab at a strong rate.
The 35-year-old forward is still very effective on the offensive end of the puck collecting 57 points in 73 games with the Blackhawks and Rangers.
