The NHL Disrespects Erik Karlsson in Recent Ranking
The reigning Norris trophy winner has been disrespected by the NHL with his placement on the top defenders list.
Karlsson Disrespected
Last season Erik Karlsson made history after scoring 102 points. He was the first defenseman to score 100+ points in 30 years and the first to do so in the salary cap era.
Recently, the NHL released their list of the top 20 defensemen where they absolutely disrespected Karlsson.
EIGHT???
Eight seems ludicrous for the only defenseman to score 100+ points in the modern NHL. While Karlsson is notorious for having a weak defensive game, his offense outweighs any defensive liability.
The only other defenseman in the NHL to score over a point-per-game pace last year was Cale Makar who was placed 1st.
It now seems like Karlsson will have to prove himself yet again with the Penguins and show those around the league that he is undoubtedly a top 3 defenseman in the NHL.
