Auston Matthews & Newest Maple Leaf Bonding At The Perfect Time Before The Start Of The Season
Auston Matthews was recently given a massive extension by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is the Maple Leafs franchise player which adds some leadership responsibilities to his plate even if he is not the captain. This week he met with a new Maple Leaf to bond together.
Matthews Welcomes Newest Addition
Auston Matthews has always been reportedly a good teammate. He continued that trend this week by being one of the first Maple Leafs to be seen with newcomer Max Domi.

Now of course Domi is not a stranger to Toronto or the Maple Leafs organization due to his dad being Tie Domi. The two getting together is still nice to see that there is already chemistry being built with the new guys.
Maple Leafs Looking To Chase The Cup
Max Domi as well as other additions like Tyler Bertuzzi and John Klingberg were brought in with one focus in mind. Winning a Stanley Cup is now the standard expectation for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They have struggled in the playoffs in recent years but the new faces could be a big part in their success.
Both Domi and Bertuzzi bring some physicality and a tough to play against play style. Klingberg will take some pressure off of Morgan Rielly to carry the load offensively on defense.
The Leafs do still need to potentially add more physicality on defense if they want to shore up how things went last year. As the season begins it will be interesting to see how much the team's style of play changes with new General Manager Brad Treliving but the same coach Sheldon Keefe.
